YOUTH VOLUNTARY SERVICE (YVS)
WHAT IS YVS?
Youth voluntary service – intensive 6 months. long-term volunteering program for young people aged 14 to 29, during which young people volunteer for an average of 40 hours/month in a chosen accredited host organization, meet once a month with a mentor appointed by the organization organizing volunteering, learn to overcome difficulties, learn to reflect on experiences and name lessons learned, formulate directions for improvement.
The YVS program is an opportunity not only to discover a field of activity that you like, but also to get to know yourself better, to develop general competencies and to strengthen your self-confidence.
Volunteers who complete more than 3 months of service receive a YVS Certificate – a document confirming the skills acquired or strengthened during service, but only for 6 months. (at least 35 hours/month), continuous service gives recognition of 0.25 entrance point for admission to first-cycle studies.
